We are proud to present this year's 8th Grade class, commissioned as leaders of the school at our annual Commissioning Mass, held on Friday, September 25. Our Eighth Grade leaders were presented with St. Benedict bracelets to remind them of their call to servant leadership in this final year at SCCS. In turn, the 8th graders presented the Miraculous Medal, a devotional medal that is also known as the Medal of Our Lady of Grace, to all students and staff new to SCCS this year. The design of the Miraculous Medal was originated by Saint Catherine Labouré following her apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Rue du Bac, Paris, France. Younger students were very excited to learn that they can call on our Heavenly Mother to intercede and pray for them whenever they need. Enjoy a few photos.
