January 27 - February 1 – Catholic Schools Week
Sunday, January 27, 8:30 am—1:00 pm. Pancake Breakfast and Open House Tour St. Croix Catholic School and Ark of Angel Preschool to see classrooms, meet teachers, enjoy scavenger hunt and many other activities. This is a great opportunity to invite prospective families to tag along with you!
Monday, January 28, Parent and Volunteer Appreciation Day 9:00 am refreshments in Social Hall for all parents and volunteers; 9:30 am Middle School Information session; 10:00 am 5th Grade “Saints-in-the-Making” skits in SCCS gymnasium. Parents of 5th grade students: this is a great opportunity to learn more about your child’s next step into Middle School. Parents of younger students also warmly welcomed, as are prospective families. This is a very informative session, presented by current middle school students and teachers. Take a few minutes to learn more about our excellent middle school program.
Tuesday, January 29, Student Appreciation Day Middle School will attend Ski day at Afton and K-5 will enjoy Winter Olympic games in gymnasium.
Wednesday, January 30, Clergy Appreciation Day All students invited to dress in Sunday best (for $1) in honor of clergy; collection will be given to parishes’ Helping Hands. Please note, “Sunday best” must be nice dress clothes – no jeans, sweatpants, etc.
Thursday, January 31, Teacher Appreciation Day
Friday, February 1, All-School Faith Rally
8th graders lead rally, which is a full day of celebrating our Catholic faith. The day starts with Mass celebrated by Archbishop Hebda, Living Rosary, Adoration with a burning bush, and Saint activities. Families are welcome to join us for any part of this special day; check in with the front office upon arrival for more details. Just a reminder that all SCCS students are expected to be in SCCS Strong t-shirts and jeans or other appropriate bottoms. A detailed agenda for our Faith Rally Day is located below.
Students and families will find out on February 1st which Faith Family they have been assigned.
