Making a Planned Gift: 4 Simple Steps

1. Determine your starting point. Do you have a will or any form of an estate plan?  If not, we can share names of local legal and financial professionals who have offered their services to our local Catholic community.

2. Once you've discussed your situation with a professional, you can then make an informed decision of how best to make a planned gift. Planned giving can be as simple as adding a couple of sentences in your will or trust or changing the beneficiary of your qualified retirement estate plan assets, life insurance, or annuities.

3. Ask yourself Key Questions:
  • What do you want your gift to accomplish for your charity of choice?
  • Do you need to receive income from your gift?
  • Do you have assets other than cash to share (now or after your lifetime)?
4. Contact Katie Rolf at the parish office, [email protected] or Maggie Schwartz at the school office, [email protected] to let us know of your plans. They will assist you in directing your gift as you intend and adding your nameplate to our Circle of Faith supporters whose planned gifts are ensuring that quality Catholic formation - be it from the pews or in our classrooms - continues for generations to come.
