2020 Light Their Way Gala
Thank you to all who made this year's gala possible. This elegant and festive evening was full of delightful surprises, including the first-ever SCCS Graduate Choir performing Lead Me, Lord. Thank you to all these young people for giving of themselves to thank our benefactors for the gift of their education at St. Croix Catholic School: Cece deLeon, Kiera Forti, Charlie Franke, Shayla Glaser, John Schaefer, Katie Keller, Gianna Loomis, Leo Loomis, Edy McCurrie, William Oakes, Mari O’Malley, Peter O’Malley, Julia Robinson, Sarah Symalla, Jacob York, William Thomson. Jim and Becky Thomson and Paul and Elizabeth Schaefer - THANK YOU also for sharing your gifts in coordinating and leading the choir.
Third Grade student, Genevieve Schaefer delighted the audience with beautiful harp music during the social hour. Rob Gag and Tierney Brothers provided top-notch audio/visual equipment - and Lisa Olsen technical support - so that all in attendance could thoroughly enjoy the choir as well as three videos Paul Loomis generously directed and produced: Our St. Croix Catholic Community, Academic Excellence, and Virtuous Leadership.
We are grateful to Bishop Cozzens for joining us as our guest speaker. He spoke of the impact that an education of Faith & Reason can make for this life and eternity - and that it was so beautifully present in the graduates who surprised us with their presence and their gifts of music and self. Thank you to our event sponsors (see side column). Several additional local venues provided delightful door prize surprises: Big Thrill Factory, Farrell’s Extreme Body Shaping, Lake Elmo Inn, Lolo’s, Mad Capper, Phil’s Tara Hideaway, Red Lobster, Rose Floral, Smilin’ Moose, Trollhaugen, Wild Mountain, Ziggy’s. Sue Argiro and Alex Fitzsimmons shared their creative vision gifts with beautiful touches throughout the venue. Lake Elmo Inn prepared a most delicious meal.
We are so grateful to table sponsors and individual benefactors who attended this year's Light Their Way scholarship assistance fundraiser. Your support will make it possible for St. Croix Catholic School to open its doors to many who otherwise not likely be able to meet tuition obligations. We are still accepting gifts in support of student scholarships. You may send a check to the school or the gift may be made from our online portal.Benefactors who support St. Croix Catholic School's Light Their Way scholarship program at a level of $2,000 or more will be recognized in our permanent Guardian Angel display. Please prayerfully consider if God is calling you to be one of our 2020 Guardian Angels. Gifts made to St. Croix Catholic School's Tuition Assistance Fund may be made in conjunction with Light Their Way gala or at any time throughout the year.
