Welcome to Second Grade

Second grade students continue to expand their skills mentally, physically and spiritually. This is a special year as they grow spiritually through preparation for their First Reconciliation and First Eucharist. They learn a variety of prayer methods and are introduced to the Liturgical Seasons and the sacramental life of the church year. They seek to deepen their relationship with the Good Shepherd through weekly Catechesis of the Good Shepherd formation. They launch into Institute for Excellence in Writing, FOSS Science, and reading practice through various methods and projects. 

 

Second graders visit specialists in Music, Physical Education, STEM/Technology, Art, and Catechesis of the Good Shepherd.
