Responsive Classroom

Responsive Classroom is a widely used, research-backed approach to elementary education that increases academic achievement, decreases problem behaviors, improves social skills, and leads to more high-quality instruction.
St. Croix Catholic School faculty members have begun implementing the initial elements of Responsive Classroom including Morning Meeting. In the Morning Meeting, students have time to work on necessary social skills including greeting each other, making eye contact, smiling, sharing and asking questions. This time is essential for building a community in which all have a voice and experience the support of the class.
