COLLINS FAMILY:
Ryan, a middle school educator and his wife Lisa enrolled their five year old daughter for Kindergarten at their local public school, just a few blocks from home. “She was excited for school, but, after a short time, we could see that our daughter had lost her spark. By the end of the school year, we looked into St. Croix Catholic School. She shadowed twice — and loved it so much both times! When discussing her visits at SCCS, she declared something that we considered profound for her age: ‘Everyone at St. Croix Catholic School has big, red hearts!’ We knew she meant that the love she felt from everyone was tremendous. As parents we felt it too. The staff was so engaged and joyful — the principal, the office staff, the teachers, the students, the cafeteria staff, everyone! We knew what we had to do. There is a strong commitment to academic excellence and the desire to bring each child to their true potential. As our children journey through their childhood, they are guided by people who are committed to bring out the very best in them. We couldn't ask for more.”
DIERKHISING FAMILY:
Six years ago, Beth and Darrick Dierkhising made the decision to invest in a Catholic education. “It continues to pay us back in priceless ways. SCCS not only teaches academic excellence, but enriches a student’s character and spirit. By “acting in God’s image” as our kids often say, they do their best to treat others with the same love and respect they desire. Our children continue to learn that they are each created for greatness in this world. SCCS supports us as parents to help raise our children with strong morals and values. We felt the sense of family when we entered the doors on that first day! Our faith has strengthened us as a family and we have no doubt that our school has helped with that. In a world that can be dark and scary, we feel that St. Croix Catholic School is a light in that darkness. Our prayer is that they carry the lessons learned about faith, hope and love with them throughout their lives.”
