It's Time to Celebrate! Service Marathon Huge Success!

Praise be to God! We are pleased to announce St. Croix Catholic School's 2020 Service Marathon has been a huge success! During this unique year, our students rose to the occasion and exceeded our expectations in service and in gathering donations. We surpassed our goals of 6,000 acts of service and $60,000 raised in honor of the students' work and in appreciation of St. Croix Catholic School's mission. Thank you, students and parents!

Now, it's time to celebrate!

Skatetime Rollerskating for Grades K-8 will take place the week of November 30, immediately after Thanksgiving break. We must have parent permissions collected before your child(ren) can participate. Please do this NOW so you don't forget:

Click HERE to fill out the permission form (one per family).

If you are able to volunteer with our Rollerskating activity, please indicate so on the permission form.

Preschool families - you did an amazing job! We are so proud of your work and excited to bring you a Mini Carnival. We'll be working out the details with Ms. Jean and Ms. Sarah to make sure all preschool families can participate. Be watching the preschool newsletter.

Individual Incentives coming the week of November 30

All K-8 students who earned No-Uniform passes (one for every $50 brought in) and mystery gift cards (those who met full $250 goal) can expect to receive an envelope the week of November 30. Preschool students will receive a prize from the classroom bucket for every $50 and a mystery gift card if the full $250 goal was met.

All students who went above and beyond their goals by at least $50 will receive an invitation to participate in the first-ever SCCS Olympics. Date and other details to be determined soon!

Please remember that students are responsible for thank yous and providing tax receipts to benefactors; some were included in family Service Marathon packet - extras available in Family Toolkit.

Thank You for Sharing the Light!

From the preschoolers' Jesus Jar and Friendship Soup mixes for St. Michael's Food Shelf to the upper elementary and middle school students stepping into leadership positions in the campaign itself, it was heartwarming to hear and see how you Shared the Light. Your thoughtful acts of kindness touched so many lives: active duty, new mothers, elderly neighbors, younger siblings, moms and dads, classroom teachers, parishioners, senior living residents, and so many more. May God bless you all for your generosity.

Even though the campaign is coming to a close, we hope you will continue to encourage your children to Share the Light. Simply living in His Light brings joy to others, as we learned from a neighbor of the Nelson family who had been isolated due to COVID-19. The neighbor recently made a donation to our Share the Light campaign and shared photos and notes of the moments that the Nelson family brought her joy. Enjoy these delightful photos of simply Living in the Light of Christ.
