New! Evening with the Arts
Mark your calendars: On Sunday, November 15, starting at 6:00 pm, St. Croix Catholic School will be hosting the 1st annual "Evening with the Arts" to support the Performing and and Fine Arts programs at SCCS, and especially to provide support for the Zach Sobiech Music Scholarship Fund. This Fund, established by the SCCS Class of 2009 in memory of their beloved classmate, provides financial assistance to those students who desire to participate in the band, orchestra, and choir programs at SCCS, but would not be able to without assistance. Parents and alumni: Please consider stepping forward and sharing your God-given talents for Evening for the Arts. We are seeking to showcase vocalists, concert band and orchestra musicians, dancers, and more. Paul and Elizabeth Schaefer are also organizing an adult choir for the event; we will soon be scheduling rehearsals; please call if you are interested in joining this fun group - 651. 235.6773.
In addition to showcasing our community's talents, the evening will also include wine and hor d'oeuvres, a fine arts display, and a silent auction. During the Evening for the Arts, Zach's mother, Laura Sobiech, will share some thoughts of how music formed Zach's life and legacy.
