Concert Band
Concert Band instruction is provided by Mrs. Erika Hammerschmidt to students in Grades 4-8. Mrs. Hammerschmidt provides instruction at SCCS during the school day. Students rehearse in Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced band ensembles, and receive instruction in small group lessons. Student musicians perform two concerts a year at St. Croix Catholic School.

Advanced String Orchestra
This program is offered to students who have completed at least two full years of lessons and a previous ensemble experience. Full ensemble meets 2x/week. Advanced String students continue to learn rehearsal etiquette as well as prepare a more demanding set of string orchestra literature for performances. Students perform two concerts at St. Croix Catholic School during the school year.

Chamber Ensemble
This is an audition-based ensemble, offered at no additional charge to advanced string and wind musicians. Chamber Ensemble musicians rehearse twice a week and perform at all SCCS concerts. Additionally, these advanced musicians participate in an Exchange Concert with a Duluth middle school, traveling to Duluth every other year. While in Duluth, students enjoy observing the Duluth-Superior Symphony Orchestra and the sites of the North Shore.
