SCCS Strategic Fund

St. Croix Catholic School, like many Catholic schools throughout the country, has experienced a significant decline in enrollment over the past decade. In response to this challenge, SCCS has designed several strategic initiatives. These initiatives fall outside of the general operating budget of the school and require additional funding for immediate implementation. Projects that will be funded by the campaign include but are not limited to the items below.

Enrollment Plan: SCCS has several initiatives ready to launch in response to declining enrollment. The programs listed below will work together to bring new families into our school, and keep current families enrolled through all grades.
• Positioning Ark of Angels preschool as a feeder program
into SCCS’s primary grades.
• Engaging a Student Recruiting Specialist to identify and
recruit prospective families.
• Implementing a more robust digital marketing plan.
• Inviting current families to campus to experience firsthand
the educational programs and quality teachers to which
SCCS students are exposed.
• Educating current and prospective families of the unique,
life-forming differences of a Catholic education.

Academic Excellence Plan: We continue to work to ensure academic excellence across all grade levels and in all subject areas of our school. Key efforts that need investment funding are advanced professional development for NWEA testing, which tracks the progress of individual students; resources to provide differentiated instruction for advanced and special needs students; and expansion of the K-5 STEM program. In addition to funding from our capital campaign, we’re working to secure foundation and corporate grants toward our goals for academic excellence and increasing enrollment. Most recently, SCCS secured marketing grants from a local non-profit, Catholic Schools Center of Excellence, to underwrite part of our plan. Such grants enhance the opportunity for quick execution of our initiatives. St. Croix Catholic is working also to build an alumni database and implement an annual fund drive.
